1. Make sure, if you don’t know how to code or program that you get your site built on WordPress ; its easy, secure and loaded with amazing SEO plugins.

2.Sign up for Google Plus: trust me on this, the more people you have in your G+ circle, the more relevant google thinks you are – and the more relevant you are, the more traffic you get! yey :)

3.Make sure your sites meta header tag has the following key variables

  •  Targeted title and description tags
  • NooDp ( open directory) tag – this way google is forced to use your targeted opitmized description tag in the SERPS, rather than picking content on its own.

I wasn’t checking every day, but I think it took about 3-4 days after my page was crawled for this change to show up. From Danny’s original “25 Things I Hate About Google” post, this was an item that I’d seen several complaints about, so thanks to the Googlers who added this option.”

 

4. Make sure you add your site to Webmaster Tools – this is where you can get first hand diagnostic info on how Google reads, crawls and rates your site within its index.. its pretty neat.. even tells you which keywords your users search to find your site. Webmaster tools also shows you the number of times a month your site appears on google.

5. Start blogging, try to have at least 1=2 new blog posts/content every week; you need to give google a reason to keep coming back.

  2. Look for companies who have recent work online, ask them for their number one keyword in which they ranked thier clients first place on google for.
  3. Go to their linked in page – look for testimonials from previous clients ( if they have none, run as fast as you can)
  4. Don’t go with agencies that don’t have a active blog on SEO or PPC – which means they don’t stay up to day with SEO news, and algorithm updates.
  5. Ask for references, in fact – I allow my potential clients to communicate and reach out to my current clients, to get a first hand look on how we treat clients.

Word of advice, stay away from South Asian SEO agencies, they have been known to get you penalized and permanently banned from Google.

2.  Click on ” ADD SITE ” to the top right.

4. Once you have entered the domain name, Webmaster Tools will give you four options to verify that you do in fact own, the domain you are enabling.

The last part is to take the HTML file that is offered for download – you then take this file and upload it to the root folder of your domain. Same place ” index” page lives.

You then, go back to Webmaster Tools and ” click” on verify.
